As a child Wolfgang Puck learned to cook alongside his mother who was a hotel chef in a small Austrian town, he quit school at the age of 14 and began and apprenticeship at a hotel. Puck then moved to France at 18 years old and got a job working for Raymond Thuilier, owner of Provence's "Baumanière". in 1973 he moved to the US. and worked at the restaurant La Tour in Indianapolis, after two years he moved to Los Angeles where was recognized as a brilliant chef.
